Where the name comes from

A name shaped by the edge.

A reeded edge — the ridged rim on a coin — appeared in the 18th century to stop people shaving metal off the sides. It's the same edge you feel under your thumb on a modern quarter. That's where this app gets its name.

About the maker

Built by a collector, for collectors.

Reeded was built by Bartosz Chrapek — a coin collector since age ten and a developer by trade. After years of searching for an app that could handle a mixed collection — US, world, and ancient coins in one place — and finding nothing but abandoned software or browser-only tools, I decided to build it myself.

Every collector has their own logic — some organize by country, some by mint, some by era, some by a theme no template ever anticipates. So Reeded doesn't force a rigid structure on you: you decide which fields and categories make sense for your collection, not the app.

Reeded is where two lifelong passions meet: numismatics and code. Private, offline, no subscriptions — exactly what I'd want in a tool for cataloging my own collection.
